ED RECEIVES NATIONAL AWARD
Ms. SHAFALY AKTER, Executive Director of Protibandhi Atto Unnoyon Songstha-PAUS (Self-help organization of the persons with disabilities) has been working for right promotion for the persons with disabilities since 2004 in Mymensingh. Ms. Shafaly has received a National Award from Bangladesh Government for her good contribution to this sector. She has received the award on 3rd December-2024 from the International Disability Day observance program in Dhaka. She is a physically disabled woman who deserved for the national award-2024.
About us
Protibandhi Atto Unnoyon Songstha (PAUS) is a right-based non-profitable, non-government, voluntary and self-development organization of the Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
In initial stage the organization was formed in cooperation with the Christian Missionary of the Taize Brothers in Mymensingh. It was formed with the aim of skill development of the PwDs to raise voice of rights to positive change against society’s negligence, discrimination, cruelty and unkind behavior towards the PwDs. It works to establish of their human rights and mainstreaming in equal dignity in the family and society. The organization works directly with all types of PwDs and their family members.
